New Work

Just finished some new paintings.  Working with media and collage is such fun.  I will add them to this site- soon.  I plan to start work on a series of paintings as soon as I  finish a couple paintings that are waiting for the final touches and finish getting my garden planted.  My muse is calling daily!

Sifting through ideas for my public art planning grant, I do have a story to tell.   I wish to be part of a change in how society looks at a mental illness commonly found worldwide. If I could I would change identification of mental illness to an illness of the brain, a disease of the brain. 
To tell this story I have chosen to use the visual language of art.  What we don't know scares us and we as " normal" people think its about behaviour and not a out of balance chemistry of the brain.
